PICTORIAL ART IS ABOVE ALL A QUESTION OF COMPOSITION OF FORMS AND COLOR
Biography
Enzo SAN MARCO is a Franco-Italian painter and photographer, born on September 10, 1992 in Bari, Puglia, southern Italy - He followed an academic training in chromatology at the Institute of Fine Arts in Foggia - Individual exhibitions in 2012 in San Severo, San Giovani Rotondo, and collective exhibitions in Sorrento and Bari - He managed the family business for 12 years then in 2024, decided to leave for the south of France following a family event and took up the brushes again - For him, pictorial art, even abstract and especially abstract, is above all a question of choice of composition, shapes and colors, in their opposition and their complementarity - Fascinated by the artistic universe of Mondrian (Primary Colors), Kandinsky (Shapes) and Vermeer (Composition), he studies the color wheel and considers that each shape or color has its own spirituality, and that their assembly, infinitely and randomly modifiable, would be like an alphanumeric code - In each of his paintings, he tries to create a composition of complementary shapes and colors, giving movement while breaking the lines: the rounded shapes symbolizing movement, continuity and Nature, while the angular shapes symbolize structure and Human construction.
