Biography
Born in 1984, Anthony Grip (GRIPE) is from Seine Saint Denis. He started graffiti in the late 90s, first in the street, then on the RER tracks and the vacant lots of his neighborhood. GRIPE then continued to exercise his passion for graffiti by creating sets, storefronts, events, multiplying experiences while refining his technique with aerosol. Influenced by the 80s/90s and pop culture, we find in his colorful work, many characters and references from his childhood, which he enjoys diverting to denounce certain excesses of our society. Self-taught and fascinated by graffiti as well as street art, he multiplies the techniques (aerosols, acrylic, stencil, collage) that he applies on different supports such as canvases, signage, metro maps, old objects ... GRIPE is a versatile artist who redoubles his creativity to better surprise and touch the public.
