

Biography
Laurent Betremieux was born in Paris, and studied at the Ecole des Beaux Arts of Clermont- Ferrand and Aix-en-Provence.
In the 80's he began to exhibit his work all over Europe : France (Paris, Grenoble, Nantes, Toulon, Lille, Biarritz, Le Havre, Deauville, Saint Tropez, Orléans), Switzerland (Annecy, Bâle, Genève), Belgium, the UK (London) and internationally Vietnam (Hô Chi Minh-ville).
Laurent Betremieux has received the Critic's prize in Paris in 1989, followed by the «Grand Prix» of the painting in 1990 and the Press' prize in Deauville in 1994.
His work is part of public collections : at Arras (Conseil General du Nord Pas de Calais), at the «Artothèques» of Arles, Ile de France, La Réunion and Miramas as well as of the National Library of Paris, the National Library of Saint Quentin and of the Museum of Toulon.
His work can also be found in corporate collections in France and oversea (Compagnie Générale des Eaux, COPEFIM, France Loisir, Groupe Royal Belge, GEFICO, Orkem, Les laboratoires Searle...).
The work of Laurent Betremieux is presented in various exhibitions' catalogues commented by critics like Alin Avila, Laurent Boudier et Henri-François Debailleux. His drawings has illustrated classic texts like «Les contemplations» by Victor Hugo.
His work has been diversified along the years and through different media. From drawing to painting, from sculpture to ceramic, from small scales to huge works, Laurent Betremieux made us pass through his work confirming his artistic identity.
