Sandrine Hirson is a French painter, born in 1968 in St-Quentin. She began painting with oils in the mid-1990s and quickly shifted toward non-figurative works, often dominated by shades of blue. Her first solo exhibition in January 2001, titled "Atlantide," marked the beginning of her exploration into abstraction.
She is deeply driven by a love of art and creation. Painting is a true calling for her, allowing her to bring her emotions and inspirations to life on canvas. She draws inspiration from aesthetics, whether it be from nature, landscapes, or her imagination.
Her artistic world is imbued with poetry and delicacy, reflecting the beauty she perceives in the world around her. She is particularly attuned to nature, which serves as an inexhaustible source of inspiration. Everything she discovers feeds her imagination and invites her to create works that reflect her vision of the world.
Travel is also an important part of her life and creative process. It allows her to discover new horizons and nourish her curiosity. Each discovery is an invitation to create, an opportunity to capture moments of life and emotions on canvas.
For Sandrine Hirson, abstraction is more of an inevitability than a choice. It is an adventure, an exploration of all possibilities, and a journey to the soul. Her approach is exclusively emotional and passionate. She draws the necessary energy for creation from her emotions and explores her own feelings through painting. In doing so, she reconnects with the intimate and the unconscious. Her painting is a subjective wandering where drifting becomes freedom. Through her gestures and technique, she creates effects of light to invent imaginary and infinite worlds, different universes, and a personal interpretation of her emotions.
