Contemporary painter and graffiti artist known for vibrant works exploring identity and urban culture on an international scale.
Biography
Louis Bottero makes the signs speak, like a jazzman, with unparalleled virtuosity. In absolute and sacred spontaneity, this musician of colors interprets letters and the world. Visual artist, contemporary painter from the Graffiti movement, a discipline he has been practicing since the early 2000s, he is very involved and active in this culture in France and abroad.
Drawing his immense energy from contemporary urban culture, he dialogues with its codes, combining a strict work of calligraphy and pictorial variations rich in symbols. From this committed approach are born complex and colorful works where a multitude of details abound often carried by his free character and uninhibited from codes and filiations.
In his studio approach, nourished by his exchange with the urban space in particular by the practice of the tag, Louis Bottero leads us into a graphic and luminous universe, marked by the impulse of the gesture and the instinctive line. He regularly performs in live-painting, where the expression of his spontaneity is sublimated.
In his general theme he questions identity through the representation of masks.
Present on the international art scene of contemporary urban art, he works and exhibits in Paris, Berlin and Los Angeles, his work is regularly presented in galleries in France and abroad. In particular, he joined the prestigious Cité Internationale des Arts in Paris for two years as a resident artist.
He also produced numerous murals in Europe, Asia, Canada and the United States.
