Presentation

Artist Statement:

Andrii Chebotaru (also - Andrey, Andriy) is a Ukrainian master of painting, specializing in Impressionism and Pointillism. His creative philosophy is best summarized in his statement: "Impression is my passion." Chebotaru is a prominent figure in Ukrainian art, whose unique contributions have significantly enriched the cultural heritage of his country.

For over 12 years, I studied painting at two of Ukraine's leading art institutions. During my education, I was deeply inspired by the painting techniques of European masters such as Paul Cézanne, Vincent van Gogh, Claude Monet, Édouard Manet, and Paul Gauguin. Impressionist art holds a special place in my heart and serves as a constant source of inspiration. In my work, I often experiment and create paintings in the style of Pointillism.

"I adore nature. Through my art, I aim to show that beauty is all around us." Coming from a family of artists, his father represented a more classical, Soviet school of painting, while his mother was a master of still life, a teacher, and a decorator.

He has held over 60 solo and group exhibitions in Ukraine, Turkey, France, Italy, the UAE, China, and Montenegro.

From childhood, Chebotaru was passionate about drawing. Growing up in a family of artists, surrounded by the natural beauty of mountains, rivers, forests, and the sea, he learned to see nature as his teacher. It inspired his use of color, attention to detail, and enduring love for the beauty of the world around him.

Artistic style

Andrii Chebotaru's style is characterized by vibrant, bold colors and dynamic compositions. His paintings, filled with rich, luscious tones and perpetual motion, are examples of modern Impressionism. While he explores various genres, landscapes and still lifes hold a special place in his body of work. He primarily uses oil paints and employs textured brushstrokes to create expressive, vivid canvases. His works often showcase the interplay of light and shadow, adding depth and emotional resonance to his art, revealing inner feelings and reflections.

Chebotaru's paintings are housed in private collections and museums in Ukraine, Italy, France, Spain, Montenegro, Croatia, Turkey, the Netherlands, the UAE, Japan, China, and the United States.

Legacy and Recognition

Andrii Chebotaru remains a key figure in modern Ukrainian art, inspiring and captivating audiences and critics worldwide. His work is celebrated for its sincerity, mastery, and ability to convey the beauty of the surrounding world. He continues to evolve as an artist, staying true to his principles and striving for excellence, leaving a lasting mark on the cultural heritage of Ukraine.
