From a series of women's portraits; My portraits reflect my own desires. As an artist, I have always been attracted by the challenge of capturing the essence of a subject as succinctly as possible. For a long time, I have also been fascinated by portraits as symbolic images that depict not only the superficial appearance of their subject, but also what lies behind it. My work is about dealing with the real world and above all using the images that surround us in everyday life. I often search for the unexpected. An ironic turn to images or things you might expect or their combinations. To lure a participant into new and perhaps unexplored area. I paint what attracts my attention. The theme depends on the situation. I am especially interested in unusual combinations of objects, funny motifs, and interesting colors. I am looking for an opportunity to change my mind, to develop new ideas. Words are drawings, color is an adjective and a verb, form is a structured sentence, rhymes are rhythmic repetitions of shapes, punctuation is a negative space to enchant the eye into faith, evoke emotional memory and reactions for a moment or forever. Art remains as a strong contender of how we share our thoughts and ideas. Throughout history, art has survived the tidal wave of information, and remains an unpredictable source of imagination. I live and work in Maintal, near Frankfurt am Main.
Education:
I visited an art high school in the 80s and studied at the Academy of Fine Arts in Poznan.
Awards & Distinctions:
Also have I participated in several artist competitions in the last years.
