Romain Dorez

Fascinated by art since a young age, Romain Dorez is passionate about drawing, painting and more specifically about the geek universe and the Pop culture. After studying for 4 years at the Faculty of Arts of Amiens, he specialized in his favorite field, and created a group called "Comixart" with a friend.

He draws his inspiration from the cartoons, he used to watch during his childhood, science fiction movies, tv shows and comics which he started transcribing since a young age.....some contemporary artists influence his work as well between them: Speedy Graphito, Jérôme Clem and Johanne8.

He prefers using painting to express his ideas and use pop colors. His pieces transmit messages that are special to him, messages full of humor to approach, sort of dark, subjects such as: sexual freedom, junk food, the psychological efffect of social networks, the preservation of the planet.... His characters from the Geek culture play the role of medium of his ideas.

He has done numerous exhibitions in Amiens and Beauvais with his group "Comixart". But he pursues a personal artistic career as well, and has participated in several festivals. This decision was very positive for his career and he has done several exhitions: "Les Dimanches Arty" in Paris (December 2016), exhibition "Dans L'antre du Cote Obscur" at the Last Bar before the End of the World in Paris (October/November 2016).
